Starting and finishing at the dam, just off interstate 79 (exit 96) in Weston, this 32 mile loop around the entire perimeter of Stonewall Jackson park is a gem of a ride. Hidden deep within the mountain lakes region of West Virginia, the lake, known for some of the best fishing in the state, is flanked by quiet stretches of road, offering views of the many hidden coves. You can get a better look at the lake using the satellite view. If you're lucky, you may get to see some Osprey or other large birds. With a few service stations on the route, don't worry about snacks. Be sure to check out the star attraction of the park, the new lodge and the Arnold Palmer designed championship golf course, both located at the Roanoke entrance.
