Three miles isn’t much, but sometimes a short stretch is all you need for a quality nighttime workout. The Westcreek Parkway is ideal for night-riding, as the traffic in this office park area is almost non-existent after 5 p.m., and the roads are well-lit. Street lamps are spaced every 20 or so yards from each other, making for very good visibility. Even with the ample light, riding with a tail light and a head lamp is highly recommended: there’s no such thing as being too visible to automobile traffic.
The Parkway is about 3 miles one way, and there are no traffic lights or stop signs to interrupt your laps: all you have to do is turn around at each end and keep riding. The terrain is mostly flat, with a few rollers thrown in for good measure. It’s nothing flashy, but it’s way better than zoning out on an indoor trainer.
