This trail is only a little over a half mile long, but if you hammer around it you will get a great workout. You can carry some serious speed through the high-banked turns. There is a fall race series held here, with at least one of the races run in the dark. As most of the quality trails in this area, it’s built and maintained by The Tarheel Trailblazers MTB club.
To get to the trailhead, turn on Simms, not Alexander, from Hwy 49. The name of the road is wrong on Google Maps. The trail starts at the end of the park road behind/beside the picnic shelter.
