This ride begins in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church, and rolls out of Cleveland for a series of climbs (3500 feet in total) in the Chagrin River Valley. You'll have about 5 miles of warm-up as you roll out of the urban area. Each of the hills in question are a half to 1 mile long: they’re not sustained climbs but they’re perfect for a hill-repeat workout – there are 8 hill repeats in one loop of this ride.
There really aren’t any places to stop and refuel on the route, so be sure to bring what you need for the ride. The Chagrin River Valley is one of the most popular cycling destinations for those living on the East side of Cleveland. You can shorten up this route by selecting which hills you want to ride. These can be tough climbs, real leg-burners if you ride them hard.
