Finding an easy century in West Virginia is no small task, but the Country Road Cyclists have found the perfect spot for their annual fall century.
The ride starts and finishes on Main Street in Salem, in Salem University’s lower parking lot. Quiet roads and quaint villages line the route and provide ample stops for snacks. Aim for personal bests on this century, or enjoy the views of the Ohio River while eating breakfast at Barista’s Espresso Cafe in New Martinsville, the midpoint of the ride. Barista’s is very friendly to cyclists (the café’s proprietors even organize local rides) and it was voted the No. 1 coffee house in West Virginia.
