Leaving Alexander Valley, this ride heads south for a 20-mile stretch on the Silverado Trail, the first permanent road between Napa and Calistoga. This flat, paved road features some of the finest Syrahs, Cabernets, and Chardonnays in Napa Valley (not to mention a generous bike lane). Downtown Napa is an excellent spot for a lunchbreak, gourmet or otherwise. Surroundings become more urban as the route passes through Jameson Canyon, a trafficked road that sports a generous shoulder for bikes. Suisun is the final destination on the day. Lodging options are limited, so call ahead and consider detouring north to Fairfield if necessary. This 7-day ride tours Northern California's wine country. Call ahead to reserve lodging at each day's final destination: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, Day 6, Day 7

Location: 38.220852°, -122.239466°
The traffic can get hairy on Jameson Canyon. Though the shoulder is wide enough to make a great bike lane, exercise caution during peak traffic hours.
Jameson Canyon to Cordelia
Location: 38.211479°, -122.147026°
Bike path from Jameson Canyon into Cordelia. The trail is a bit chewed up, but at least there is no traffic. Again, use caution if riding alongside traffic.
