The 7th day of the wine country tour doesn’t see too much wine country, but fantastic Bay Area cycling roads and vistas await nonetheless. Over 54 miles, the route tours Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, Junipero Serra County Park, Crystal Springs Reservoir, the San Andreas Fault, and Stanford University. After traversing the Golden Gate Bridge, the ride cuts through Golden Gate Park and runs along the Pacific for 33 miles. Heading inland, the route climbs Skyline Drive and pedals past reservoirs along the San Andreas Fault. Canada Road welcomes riders with a 5-mile stretch of smooth, flat pavement with very little traffic and no stops. Cruise through the Stanford campus en route to Palo Alto, have a beer (for a change), and call it a week. This 7-day ride tours Northern California's wine country. Call ahead to reserve lodging at each day's final destination: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, Day 6, Day 7 -Mapped by Russ Stevens
