From Justin England, Toyota–United Pro Cycling Team: When you hang a right on Craggy Garden Road, the real dirt climbing begins. The twisting road is tucked away in the tree-covered hillsides and although you'll need to stay seated to maintain traction in the loose gravel, the surface is relatively smooth.

START: Downtown Asheville, heading north on Merrimon Ave. Right on Reems Creek Rd. Left on Maney Branch Rd.; turns into Paint Fork Rd.
Right on Rt. 197 in the town of Barnardsville; immediate right on Dillingham Rd. Right on Craggy Gardens Rd. (dirt begins) Right on Blue Ridge Pkwy.
END: Downtown Asheville
