With only two Category 4 climbs to break up 125 miles of coastal terrain, the sprinters will surely feast at the finish line in La Grande Motte. All Tour de France stages are fantastic spectacles, but if you’re watching from home, you can count on catching the action unfold in the final 500 meters of this one. Columbia’s Mark Cavendish will look to exert his will in the final kick to the line (as he’s done all season), but he’ll have virtually the entire peloton gunning for him on stages like this one. If they time it right, a clever sprinter like Garmin’s Tyler Farrar or Rabobank’s Oscar Freire could fire off an upset win.
