The first uphill out of Dry Ridge is the easiest of the day. The downhills, with the exception of the first one after Dry Ridge, are mostly roughly paved, all are curvy and narrow with no shoulder. The downhills after turning onto 1289 S has a sharp turn on the downhill with a tough .5 mile uphill on 1289. The .4 downhill on Hebron road is badly paved, very sharply turned with gravel. We had one biker spill and break a hip. The uphill following it immediatly after the Hebron Rd. downhill is very difficult.
The traffic on the 2516,Lexington Pike down into the town itself is steep, and ccurvy, with no shoulder and quite a bit of traffic tail gating.
The town of Maysville is charming, and the town of Old Washington, just before you begin the decent into Maysville is a fascinating village from the 1700's with a lot of UGRR history as well.
