This is a fantastic 14 mile 2 day hike and or Canoe. I say 2 day because there is so much to see and do. Some of the features you will encounter will be some of the best bluff views in the midwest along with homesteads,and river walks Steel Creek is a great place to camp for the night as well as several breath taking spots high and low on the trail. The Town of Ponca is very close so wander in and take up the local grub or rent a canoe and float bacck from Steel Creek to Kyles. Depending on the time of the year you might be getting wet if Hiking due to the 11 river crossings. If you have any extra time take the short hike into Indian Creek, the trail head is in Kyles Landing; take a camera and you wont regret it.... I tried to get the route elevations as close as I could, if you can get better route info please feel free to update it. Thanks and see you on the trail.

This spot sits in a crack in the bluff. A rock ledge great for tent use gives a spactacluar view of the river. About 10 yards west is a series of small waterfalls pouring onto the rock slope, River access, fire ring and small waterfalls.

This spot is breath taking. A grassy, light wooded area with river access. It has a stone fire pit and a great little rock for cook stoves that I put there.
Theres lots of downed trees for fire wood and a plenty of well spaced trees for hammock use.
